The Sanctuary State Law explained in 200 Seconds.

On January First, the California Sanctuary State Law went into effect.

It prohibits local police officers from cooperating with Federal Law Enforcement in deporting most illegal alien criminals.

Some say “It’s OK to protect illegal alien criminals from deportation, they’re just good people who made a mistake. We don’t want to break up families.”

They’ve been told that non-citizens commit fewer crimes. A recent study proves this to be incorrect.

Many think that Kate Steinle was the first person ever killed by an illegal alien in the United States. Sadly, over 40,000 people preceded her.

But when you investigate further, you learn of the tremendous loss of life, property damage and economic harm caused by illegal aliens who come to our country and commit crime after crime.

Unlike industrial accidents or natural disasters, these are 100% preventable.

Here are the facts…
Illegal aliens in the US are estimated to number over 11 million, which represents 3.5% of the total population. In California it’s 7%.

It is estimated that 42,000, or 22% of all California prison inmates are illegal aliens.

On average, each inmate has committed 8 offenses accounting for over 330,000 convictions. Since only 22% of crimes are ever solved, these 42,000 inmates in California may be responsible for as many as 1.8 million crimes.

As of 2014, illegal immigrants were convicted and sentenced for over 13 percent of all crimes committed in the U.S. This is almost four times their percentage of the population.

75 percent of all criminal defendants convicted and sentenced for federal drug offenses were illegal aliens.

Research shows that U.S. taxpayers are paying nearly $19 million a day to house and care for convicted criminal aliens who are eligible for deportation.

A study estimated that “there are approximately 240,000 illegal alien sex offenders in the United States.”

ICE runs a program, “Operation Predator,” which targets foreign nationals who commit sex crimes against children. To date, more than 10,000 individuals have been arrested.

Unlicensed drivers kill 7,500 people a year. Illegal aliens are responsible for a little over half of that total.

Injuries in motor vehicle incidents totaled 4.3 million in 2013, costing over $288 billion.

Most will agree that the vast majority of illegal immigrants coming to the United States want work hard and build a better life.

It is not anti-immigrant to be anti-Criminal.

The California Sanctuary State law allows illegal alien criminals to continue to commit crimes of robbery and homicide, sell drugs, overcrowd our prisons, be sexual predators to our children and kill innocent Americans with habitual drunk driving.

We must act now to repeal the Sanctuary State law. Sign the petition to get on the ballot, and then vote in November to end it once and for all.

Supporters of SB 54, the Sanctuary State Law, call it the California Values Act. Californians do not value giving sanctuary to predatory criminals.
